Captain Shreve wins award at state convention | Community Spirit

Captain Shreve High School Student Council President Brooklyn Brown was awarded the Dale Hawley National Leadership Award at the Louisiana Association of Student Councils (LASC) Convention held at Sulphur High School, Sulphur, Louisiana. The Hawley Award is the highest honor a high school senior can receive from the National Association of Student Councils.

LASC is the annual convention for Louisiana high school student councils.  The conference is held at a different high school in the state every year.  Captain Shreve High School will host the convention on its campus January 18-20, 2015.  Over 1000 high school student council members are expected to attend.  Martha Goza is Captain Shreve Student Council Sponsor and a member of the National Association of Student Councils Advisory Board.
