Shreveport trash pickup getting back on schedule | Business
Garbage collection is running about a day behind schedule in Shreveport, city officials say. Pickup should return to normal by Thursday.
The scheduling lag is because of the Memorial Day holiday as well as several unexpected truck breakdowns in the past week. Garbage collection usually is postponed by a day in the week of a national holiday.
The outlook for getting back on track looks like this:
- Friday’s (May 31) collection will be completed today.
- Monday’s (June 3) will start today and be completed on Tuesday.
- Tuesday’s collection begins in the afternoon and will be completed Wednesday.
- Thursday’s collection will begin and end the same day.
